Truffled French Toast
We "truffed up" a breakfast staple: French Toast. A drizzle of Truffleist Truffle Honey adds a rich, slightly sweet, and earthy depth that takes this dish to the next level.

INGREDIENTS:

2 eggs

2 cups milk, half and half, or heavy cream

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

½ teaspoon cinnamon powder

3 tablespoons sugar

Pinch of salt

4 thick slices Brioche, sourdough, or white bread (day-old or slightly toasted)

PREPARATION INSTRUCTIONS:

In a bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk (or alternative), vanilla extract, cinnamon powder, sugar, and a pinch of salt.

Soak the stale or toasted bread in the batter until the liquid is absorbed but not soggy.

Heat a non-stick pan or griddle over medium heat and add oil or clarified butter.

Pan-fry each slice until golden brown on both sides. Transfer to the oven and bake at 350°F (175°C) for a few minutes until the center is hot.
