Truffle Reuben Sandwich

 A gourmet twist on a St. Patrick's Day classic, featuring Truffleist Truffle Mustard! 

INGREDIENTS: 

  • 2 slices rye bread 
  • 2 tbsp butter, softened 
  • 2 tbsp Truffleist Truffle Mustard 
  • 4 oz sliced pastrami 
  • 2 slices Swiss cheese 
  • 1/4 cup sauerkraut, drained 
  • 1 tbsp Russian or Thousand Island Dressing 

 

INSTRUCTIONS: 

  1. Spread butter on one side of each slice of rye bread. Flip and spread Truffleist Truffle Mustard on the other side of one slice.
  2. Layer the pastrami, Swiss cheese, and sauerkraut on top of the mustard-covered slice. Drizzle with Russian dressing. 
  3. Top the second slice of bread, buttered side facing out. 
  4. Grill in a pan over medium heat for 3-4 minutes per side, pressing lightly, until golden brown and the cheese is melted. 
  5. Serve hot with extra Truffle Mustard for dipping.
